Chevrolet Volt to Receive 2010 USREA Game-Changer Award
Lexington, MI – The Chevrolet Volt electric vehicle is the first to receive the US Renewable Energy Association 2010 “Game-Changer Award.” This new award represents technologies that are both advanced and revolutionary, while utilizing Renewable or Regenerative Energy systems that positively change the direction of their industry.
According to Gerry Zack, President of USREA, “We can think of no finer example of advanced technology that truly changes the way a given industry moves forward. The award was created with the Chevrolet Volt in mind as it represents the state of the art in energy efficiency, advanced battery technology and forward thinking. In short, this changes everything. It is but a first step into the exciting future of electric transportation.”
The award was timed to coincide with the official launch of the Chevrolet Volt introduction at the Detroit Hamtramck Assembly plant.
