Lincoln, Nebraska is proud of its’ new 15,000 solar panel landmark stretching out over 20 acres just outside town. The community solar project is the embodiment of public private partnership designed to bring 3.6 megawatts of electric power to over 900 homes. State officials hope this will be the beginning of an increase in their national ranking for roof-top and large installation solar power. Tax credits, business incentives, technological breakthroughs, and a surge in consumer awareness are all contributing to consumer demand for solar power and renewable energy in Nebraska.
