Houstonians celebrated National Plug In Day on Saturday at the Buffalo Speedway HEB.
Owners of electric dragsters, converted cars, Teslas and other electric cars gathered to talk shop and show off their work around the grocery store’s eVgo Freedom charging station, while shoppers drove past or walked through the gathering.
Kevin Douglass, president of the Houston Electric Auto Association, said the event’s goal was to raise awareness of electric cars available on the market today. . . .
