Germany… 100% Electric Cars Could Backfire

Germany calls for a complete phase-out of electric cars by 2030, but with all good things come unwelcome trade-offs. With full implementation of the proposed initiatives, Germany could actually increase emissions because of the electric grids inability to handle the increasing electric demand. If the plan continues before renewable energy is suitable and substantive enough to handle the variables of wind, solar and electric storage, the gains could backfire by increasing coal and nuclear use.
